Porquerolles’ Classic

It is a large gathering of traditional boats that takes place over 4 days of racing in June. The regatta is listed on the official calendar of the French Association of Traditional Yachts (AFYT). It brings together around fifty classic boats, among the most beautiful sailing ships in the Mediterranean.
It is made up of courses built along the coast and in the harbor around the Hyères islands. On the last day, the Moonbeam Trophy is held to commemorate the origins of the Porquerolles Classic. It was created in 2003 to celebrate the centenary of Moonbeam of Fife, the famous gaff yawl built at the Fairlie shipyard in Scotland.
The spectacle at sea is magnificent. In the evening, participants gather in the lovely atmosphere of the daily receptions and for the famous Saturday dinner at the estate on the island, amidst the vineyards.
